Captain Gregory Roye
Captain
Gregory Roye began his career with the Bal Harbour Police Department in
1991. He was quickly promoted to a supervisory position in 1993, and
now serves as the Criminal Investigations Captain. Captain Roye
oversees the Department’s General Investigations Unit, Vice
Intelligence-Narcotics Unit and also serves as the Department’s Public
Information Officer.
Captain Roye has successfully completed the Command Officer Development Course from the Southern Police Institute, Department of Justice Administration, University of Louisville and IPTM Drug Commanders Course at the University of North Florida Jacksonville. Captain Roye has received additional specialized training in narcotics from the Drug Enforcement Administration and Miami-Dade Police Department.
Captain Roye has over 17 years experience in law enforcement and has previously served with the Florida Highway Patrol and Lee County Port Authority. Captain Roye is a current member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police and Miami-Dade County Chiefs of Police Association along with a membership with the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
Captain Roye has received numerous commendations and has been selected as the Department’s Officer of the Month and Officer of the Year on multiple occasions.
